Oriental Monkfish with Spring Onion, Garlic and Soy Sauce

A rich, bold-flavoured oriental monkfish dish with fresh spring onion and garlic.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pack cornish monkfish medallions 200g
  • 1 bunch spring onions roughly cut
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 garlic and parsley butter hearts
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds optional

Instructions
 

  • In a frying pan, add 1 tbsp of vegetable oil over a high heat.
  • Place the monkfish medallions into the pan and reduce the heat to medium.
  • Cook for 2-3 minutes until the monkfish begins to turn golden.
  • Add the chopped spring onion into the pan, and flip the monkfish over.
  • Now add the soy sauce and shake the pan so all the flavours mix together. At this point, sprinkle in the sesame seeds, if desired.
  • Cook for 2 more minutes and remove from the heat. Serve immediately.

Notes

Pat dry the monkfish medallions before frying to prevent drying out.
