Presented in it’s half shell, these plump and juicy green-lipped New Zealand mussels are fantastic served as a show-stopping starter or over pasta for a delicious dinner. They are fully cooked so all you need to do is top with your favourite flavours. Try adding a classic Garlic Butter crumb or add a little spice with a Ginger & Lemongrass or Curried Coconut combo.

Our New Zealand Greenshell Mussels are sent to you on the half-shell to reveal the distinctive green lip around its’ edge which you would not see on the Irish whole shell variant. The meat is plump and sweet which lends itself to being a very versatile shellfish that can be grilled, baked, barbecued, fried, steamed or smoked. These are fully sustainable and are a great source of iron, protein and Omega-3.

Mussels have been harvested for human consumption since the beginning of human habitation in New Zealand. The process of harvest and production today is somewhat different, once harvested the mussels are transported to state of the art processing facilities which are never more than a few hours from the farms. They are often processed and cooked the same day and quickly frozen to lock in their freshness.
