by tjames March 31, 2021

Easter is almost upon us and it’s time to look forward to some cracking celebrations! Not only do we get a well-deserved four-day break together, but we can also finally spend some quality time with extended family and friends in the garden.

Hopefully, the sun will shine, but even if the weather isn’t on our side – pop up the gazebo, grab your stylish (but warm!) coat and enjoy the long-overdue company come rain or shine. Here, we’ve got some sumptuous Good Friday fish dish ideas, menu inspiration for lusciously lazy brunches – and some beautiful ways to decorate your Easter Sunday table for all the family.

With a little bit of freedom on the horizon, if you’re wondering what to serve the extra mouths on Good Friday, here we start with some fabulous fish and chips menu ideas that’ll make your Good Friday great. Try this homemade fish and chips in a light lemonade batter, or this version with tartar sauce and mushy peas.

And, to really recreate the restaurant experience at home, why not serve your fish and chips up in these fabulously-fun, mini fish and chip baskets from John Lewis (psst, they’re also perfect for serving up our Whitby scampi portions too).

Easter Weekend Lusciously Lazy brunch ideas

The long Easter weekend means lazy mornings and indulgent brunches too! Make the most of the only weekend of the year that’s encased with a Bank Holiday on either side. For a tantalising and tasty brunch why not recreate our Salmon Benedict? Or our simple but sublime smoked salmon and scrambled eggs recipe. Serve up on this shabby chic breakfast in bed tray for added luxury.

With Good Friday and slow-down Saturday ticked off, the excitement can now focus on the crescendo of the weekend – Easter Sunday.  This day is for family, festivities and fantastic fish dishes. We have a myriad of delectable recipe ideas, and some top tips to make sure your Easter Sunday table looks as good as your meal tastes.

If you normally indulge in a meat-based Sunday roast at this time of year, why not lose the lamb and opt for our orange and rosemary roasted Arctic char portions, served with a selection of green vegetables.

Serve it on these delightful plates from Sophie Allport with coordinating napkins, table runners, coasters and many more items to ensure your table is setting the same standard as your meal. And, for the perfect centrepiece, why not try this simple yet stunning LSA garden posy vase from John Lewis – ideal for traditional Easter daffodils or tulips – guaranteed to add a bouquet of happiness to your table.
